火狐os Mozilla正式“枪毙”小众手机操作系统火狐OS
科技资讯据美国某科技新闻网站报道，Mozilla此前曾在内部开发者大会上发布过类似消息，但前几天，该公司向媒体正式确认了该消息，即终止Firefox OS操作系统的开发。
2013年初，Firefox OS正式发布。这个操作系统基于HTML5技术，可以大大简化手机应用软件的开发。Mozilla意识到操作系统市场的高度竞争，因此它将该系统定位于发展中国家的廉价手机中。Mozilla甚至希望将智能手机的最低价格提高到25美元。
Firefox手机系统确实赢得了一些手机厂商的支持，尤其是想要占领发展中国家低成本手机的中国企业，包括TCL旗下的华为、CENTER、阿尔卡特品牌。
很多火狐手机陆续上市，却没有得到消费者的认可。此外，三星电子、HTC等全球一线手机厂商都没有接受Firefox系统。
众所周知，在手机操作系统市场上，谷歌开发的开源系统Android和苹果的iOS系统成为了两大垄断者，份额不断扩大，其中Android的全球份额达到了85%。与此同时，其他操作系统的份额继续下降。其中，一度保持一线希望的微软Wp系统，现在已经跌至接近消失的1.7%，而黑莓的黑莓10系统基本上已经从市场上蒸发。
在Wp和黑莓难以自保的背景下，很难想象“背景”更弱的Firefox系统还能存活。
Mozilla告诉媒体，Firefox OS失败的原因之一是它未能在智能手机上提供良好的用户体验。
据部分业内人士介绍，在移动互联网技术的发展中，WEB和HTML5的地位正在下降，本地应用因其流畅的用户体验而得到用户认可。这种用户体验和流畅度的差异，可能会导致Firefox系统的失败。
而Mozilla只是宣布了Firefox OS在智能手机市场的失败。该公司高级副总裁杰克斯(Jakes)通过Twitter表示，他们将继续在手机之外的其他网络设备上使用Firefox，这将创造一个新的未来。
Firefox OS兼容其他硬件设备，今年年中，日本松下公司首次推出搭载Firefox系统的智能电视机。据媒体报道，这种电视可以更好地支持网络服务和应用。
在Mozilla宣布项目失败后，松下是否会在新机型中继续采用Firefox系统，目前还不得而知。
在Firefox OS之前，另一个小众操作系统——由——LG电子从惠普公司收购的webOS系统，在手机市场上也败给了麦城。LG现在已经把这个操作系统转移到了智能电视、智能手表等设备上。
此外，几乎与Firefox OS同时，三星电子也推出了基于自己的操作系统Tizen的智能手机，其目标仍然是发展中国家的廉价机器市场。据悉，蒂森手机在印度等国家销量不错，三星计划推出更多机型，甚至价格更高的中档机型。三星还召集了一些第三方开发者为蒂森开发客户端。
但业内普遍认为，三星旗下的蒂森要想突破安卓和iOS的垄断，成为拥有可观份额的“第三名”，难度极大。
